After my first blog entry to the Magic: The Gathering Xbox Live game and with the new 2012 version I thought I could do it again and gather all ways to solve the challenges in the game for everyone to try them out and get the achievements for this.

Challenge: Rumble in the Jungle (vs. Garruk Wildspeaker)

Both you and Garruk have only 2 life. Using the few creatures you still have left, blunt Garruk’s final assault and defeat him.

This one is pretty easy:

• Garruk will attack you
• Block with ‘Runeclaw Bear’ and ‘Barony Vampire’
• You will know enter your Main Phase and got only 1 life left
• Play the Swamp (or just press Y to get into the Combat Phase)
• Attack with ‘Gloomhunter’

Congratulations you won your first Challenge and you got your ‘Magic: The Puzzling’ Achievement

Challenge: In the Spider’s Web (vs. Kiora Atua)

Kiora has 6 life while you only have 1. Negate Kiora’s lethal attack, then defeat her.

• Kiora will attack you with ‘Storm Crow’
• Block with your untapped ‘Furnace Whelp’
• You draw a Basic Land and play it
• Attack with both of your ‘Furnace Whelp’s
• Pause the game directly after Kiora blocked your ‘Furnace Whelp’ with her ‘Giant Spider’
• Activate the Ability of your other ‘Furnace Whelp’ and use all your Mana

GamesCom 2010 ist zu ende und ich habe wieder viel gesehen was mich überrascht, enttäuscht und verwundert hat. Mit mehr Ausstellern und Besuchern nimmt man doch automatisch an das auch mehr zu sehen bzw. zutun ist. Leider hatten wir schon all das was uns interessiert Donnerstag (1. Tag) gesehen in den Folgenden Tagen war einfach nur noch Guild Wars 2 testen und Loot abgreifen. Viele Überraschungen gab es wie z.B. Rage, welches ich vorher nicht beachtet habe es aber echt gut aussieht und vielversprechend ist. Enttäuschend waren die Mafia 2 and Portal 2 Stände, denn bei Mafia 2 wurde nur die Demo gezeigt die man sich ja schon seid Wochen runterladen konnte (auch wenn diese Demo nicht wirklich toll aussah) hinzu kommt noch, dass man sich dort Stundenlang anstellt (wir hatten Glück und sind nach einer halben Stunde rein gekommen) und nicht einmal ein T-Shirt bekommt. Ebenso bei Portal 2, dort wurden die Trailer gezeigt von den einzelnen Testkammern die ebenfalls sehr lange online zur Verfügung stehen und ein T-Shirt gab es auch nicht. Die größte Überraschung war Guild Wars 2, ich hatte nicht gedachte das es sich so gut spielen lässt und es so gut aussieht. Ich kann kaum das Release erwarten.

• Play ‘Evolving Woods’ and use its ability
• Play ‘Excommunicate’ and target ‘Phage the Untouchable’
• Play ‘Brainstorm’ and keep ‘Polymorph’
• Play ‘Polymorph’ on opponents ‘Darksteel Colossus’

Challenge 4: Tezzeret (tested 07. August 2010)

• Skip your entire turn
• Skip your entire turn again. (Don’t summon ‘Lorthos, The Tidemaker’)
• After the opponents attack, you will be at 1HP. You will be asked again to summon ‘Lorthos, The Tidemaker’, do it.
• Play the ‘Island’
• Attack with ‘Lorthos, The Tidemaker’ and pick his ‘Platinum Angel’ and 7 of his Islands
• Play ‘Unsummon’ on ‘Platinum Angel’ after he got only one Island left

Challenge 5: Sarkhan Vol (tested 07. August 2010)

• Play ‘Summoner’s Pact’ and pick ‘Seedborn Muse’
• Use the ability of ‘Elvish Piper’ and pick ‘Seedborn Muse’
• Play ‘Eladamri’s Call’ and pick ‘Plated Geopede’
• Summon ‘Plated Geopede’
• On his turn stop the timer and play both of your ‘Harrow’s’ and pay with the tapped mana
• Use ‘Khalni Heart Expedition’ to grab 2 extra Land Cards
• After your ‘Plated Geopede’ is 13/13 use ‘Fling’ and sacrifice your ‘Plated Geopede’ and target Sarkhan Vol

Because the challenges are really tricky I searched the internet and found some walkthroughs for the 11 challenges (8 in Duels of the Planeswalker and 3 for the extension duel of the dragon).

Challenge 1: Garruk

• Use Double Angelic Blessing on your Skyhunter Skirmisher.
• Attack with Skyhunter Skirmisher.

Challenge 2: Elspeth

• Use Threaten on the Life Warden.
• Summon the Raging Goblin.
• Attack with all your creatures.

Challenge 3: Garruk

• Use Elvish Piper to bring out the Roughshod Mentor.
• Attack with all the Grizzly Bears.
• Wait for blockers to be assigned and then use all three Giant Growth on the Grizzly Bear being blocked by the civic wayfarer.

Challenge 4: Chandra

• Play Megrim.
• Play Ravenous Rats.
• Attack with all creatures.

Challenge 5: Liliana

• Use Eyeblight’s Ending on the Nightmare.
• Play Elvish Eulogist and Elvish Warrior.
• Use Immaculate Magistrate’s ability on the Elven Riders.
• Attack with all creatures.

Challenge 6: Chandra

• Use prodigal pyromancer that was taken by Persuasion to damage opponent for one.
• Use Boomerang on Persuasion.
• Reuse Persuasion on Raging Goblin.
• Attack with all creatures.

Challenge 7: Nissa

• Use Terror on the Elvish Champion.
• Attack.
• Use the Flameblast Dragon’s ability to kill your Sprouting Thrinax.

Challenge 8: Lilana

• Play Pariah on the Angel.
• Play Wooly.
• use brion’s ability on YOURSELF using the wolly, this will kill the angel (afterward, Royal Assassin will kill Brion).
• Use one incinerate on Rat.
• Use one incinerate on opponent.
• Use Knight’s ability to pump itself up.
• Attack with your two remaining creatures.

Challenge 9: Jace

• Play: (in this order)
• Etherium Sculptor
• Master of Etherium
• Howling Mine
• Onyx Goblet
• Loxodon Warhammer (then use the ability)
• Terror (on Wall of Air)
• Attack with all possible cards

Challenge 10: Elspeth

• Play: (in this order)
• Obsidian Battle-Axe
• Bramblewood Paragon (do not equip Obsidian Battle-Axe)
• Vengeful Firebrand (equip Obsidian Battle-Axe)
• Attack with all possible cards

Challenge 11: Liliana

• Play Plains (mana card)
• Attack with Ambassador Laquatus only
• Stop the time and play Condemn on Ambassador Laquatus
• Play Kiss of the Amesha and target yourself
• Play Wrath of God
• Lilianas turn (she will play a Swamp and Nightmare)
• If its your turn again play Plains (mana card)
• Play Ambassador Laquatus and use his ability 3 times

jaha heute durfte ich es von der Post abholen, die Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition.

Warum ausgerechnet die Prestige Edition? Ganz einfach ich bin ein Fan von Goodies, egal ob es Artbooks oder Figuren oder dergleichen ist. Ich habe auch schon die X-Blades CE (Collectors Edition) mit der Figur der Hauptcharakterin und auch die absolut coole Anno 1404 CE in der Holzkiste, mit Mandelsamen, einem sehr Hochwertigem Kompass etc.. Ja und da habe ich mich für die Prestige Edition entschieden, weil dort ein Nachtsichtgerät, die Hardened Edition und ein Artbook drin ist. Nein ich will euch nicht auf den Arm nehmen, im Ernst dort ist ein Nachtsichtgerät drin. Es ist zwar aus Plastik und nicht besonders hochwertig in der Verarbeitung aber … halloho … ein funktionierendes Nachtsichtgerät. Das gab es bisher noch in keiner anderen CE von IRGEND einem Game.

Klasse Teil. Kanns kaum erwarten das zu zocken … aber muss erstmal bis morgen warten wegen der neuen Xbox360 ^^

Ihr habt vllt. gemerkt haben das ich links meine Xbox 360 Gamer Card “zur schau stelle” denn … ja ich habe eine Xbox 360.

Nun aber zum Thema:
Ich bin ein sehr großer Fan von RPGs und vor allem JRPGs (Japanese role-playing games) da diese nicht nur schön aussehen sondern auch sehr gute Storys haben. Nun bin ich stolzer Besitzer von “Eternal Sonata” … obwohl mir diese drumherum Geschichte von dem Pianist nicht so ganz zusagt (auch wenn wir Namens verwandt sind) finde ich das Spiel einfach nur klasse. Nunja darum gehts es aber hier gerade nicht.
Ich habe “Eternal Sonata” genannt, weil es
1. eine sehr gute Story hat
2. super aussieht und
3. eine Japanische Audio Spur besitzt

und genau der 3. Punkt ist der Knackpunkt. DENN nicht alle JRPGs die hier nach Europa, Amerika kommen besitzen eine Japanische Audio Spur. Woran das liegt? Was fragt ihr mich das? Zu wenig Platz auf der DvD?! Kein Interesse?! Ich weiß es nicht.

So super tolle Spiele wie “Star Ocean: The last Hope” oder “Tales of Vesperia”, auf die ich schon seid Ankündigung ein Auge geworfen hatte, haben BEIDE keine Japanische Audio Spur. Und wieder frage ich mich … Warum? Es gibt zur Zeit (Stand zur Erstellung dieses Eintrages) 35 Spiele-Addons für “Tales of Vesperia” und keins davon ist eine Japanische Audio Spur. Wenn das doch nicht mehr auf die DvD passt, dann packt es doch wenigstens als Download-Content.

“Tales of Vesperia” kann man sich ja noch auf Englisch anhöhren, aber habt ihr schonmal “Star Ocean: The last Hope” euch angehört … Argh schrecklich, da stellen sich meine Nackenhaare auf und springen alleine schon meinen Rücken runter. Grausam.
