phishing is a really dangerous way to get your login data. First there was the phishing mail which contains a hyperlink to a site that look like the online banking site of your bank.

Now there is a new phishing method. The “tabnabbing”.

In short. A site contains JavaScript code or script which will activate when you are surfing on an other Tab in your Webbrowser. This JS code or script will change the appearance of the site to for example. the google login site. It also change the title AND the favicon of the page.

That’s extremely dangerous because nobody check the url, which is unchanged.
